Walking through the maze-like alleyways of Genoa, you will get lost in the ancient history of this amazing medieval town.
Your private guide will transport you back in time through the renaissance streets, squares, monuments, and food shops that are over 100 years old. You will have the chance to admire the beautiful painted facades of the grand Palazzi Dei Rolli (built in XV century by a local aristocracy) that are now protected by UNESCO. Strolling through the winding, narrow alleyways of the historic town, you will stop at an old “Friggitoria” which serves their delicious friscieu (fried croquettes filled with herbs), farinata (a chick pea cake), and fried fresh seafood. Then for something sweet, take a relaxing stop by the old bakery, where composer Giuseppe Verdi loved to indulge on their delicious pastries, and by the “Pietro Romanengo Fu Stefano” confectionary shop.
If you are staying at a centrally located hotel in Genoa, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby. Otherwise, a meeting point will be arranged.
