A real surprise - visit a perfectly preserved castle rich of history and art and the World's biggest labyrinth immersed in a simple but yet fascinating land still unknown to many.
Your first stop is at the majestic Sanvitale Castle, a fortress residence in the center of Fontanellato, a small town near Parma. The Castle was built by San Vitale Family and completely renovated in the Renaissance with its incredible frescoes of Parmigianino. It is still surrounded by a large moat which is quite elegant and in fact sets it apart from most castles found in the region. Around the central courtyard are several arched windows built in gothic style of architecture.
Then enjoy a light lunch based on the typical local products.
Your afternoon continues with a visit to the World’s biggest labyrinth, the “Labirinto della Masone” (Masone Labyrinth) which covers eight hectares and is made up of 200,000 bamboo plants. Get lost in the maze and visit the incredible art exhibition of 500 paintings, sculptures and design objects dating from the 16th to the 20th century located in the building complex in its center.
Exact time will be provided in final documents. Pick up at your hotel.
